Subject: How long before red spots go away after using Carac cream

I used Carac Cream for 20 days, once a day.  My dermatologist usually recommends 28 days but when she saw me 10 days into treatment she thought 20 days would be enough.  My face looked like raw hamburger.  It's better now.  I finished with the cream 5 days ago and I'm wondering how long it takes for my face to look completely normal again.  I'd like to hear from someone who has finished the treatment.  I surely hope I won't have these countless red spots forever!  Thank you.

(My dermatologist is new in this area, wet sw Wa state, coming from a dry state and believes that the cream works faster in this damp climate - hence the 20 days instead of 28.)

I also am using carac cream.  I am on day 17 and my cheeks are bright red.  Did your face also get solid red?  My dermatolgist thought this was more a reaction to the medicine.

Hey you two are scareing me. I start tomorrow. I am in NW Wa. so maybe I will only need two weeks. :) Guess this will be a Christmas to remember. Only block of time that I can hide in the house. My family will be supportive, but maybe this yr. they will have to do all the cooking.

I have been off the cream on my face for a week and a half. The spots are fading. Pretty much can cover it with makeup. (Am a woman, not a man as my icon suggests). I have been off the same length of time on my chest, but they are taking longer to fade. I have been using the Aquaphor cream on them since i stopped the treatment. good luck

Oh and I live in NW Wa. and only used it 2 weeks on my face and chest. Doing it 4 weeks on the back of my hands. Seems strange because the skin on my hands is so much thinner. But, more lesions appeared after the 2nd week.
