Sudden Bleeding And Clot After Leep

I had my leep done 9 days ago and have had some discharge/ light bleeding and cramps since.  But tonight at work i was having some cramps and one time when i stood up from my chair i got a cramp and then felt myself starting to bleed, heavy enough that it felt pretty wet.  so i went to the bathroom and sat down and saw my pad was blood red and it just starting coming out heavily.  i was pretty scared b/c it is not time for my period for another 2 weeks.  And there was a half-dollar size clot that came out on the toilet paper.  and another one came out too.  I have a dr. appointment already at 9am (in 5 hours) but I am wondering if this is normal or if this has happened to anyone else.  What do I do to stop it, should I just stay off my feet??

They told me that I might bleed after although the did not say how much, the P.A also said that I would have cramping mild to severe and gave me a prescription for Darvaset. They said if the cramps and bleeding last longer the 3 days to call and make an appointment now this was after a colposcopy and an endometrial biopsy and the leep is a lot more invasive. Give the doctors office a call to ease your mind and if the cramps are really bad ask for some pain relief. Good luck

it happened to me last march 2007 lots of blood and clots i went to the emergency room after an ultra sound and confirmed by a CATSCAN , my right kidney has 6 cm, 3.2 cm of mast. I was told to have an immediate operation and after the operation it found out that those mast was cancerous so they decide to removed my right kidney. at present i am taking sutent for medication.

   My suggestion is have it ultrasound and CTSCAN to be sure ( i know your doctor would recommend that).

  I have read many posting on this web that they also experience these but their doctor just gave them a medication for infection and three to six months it already metastasis to other organ.

Hi! I had my LEEP done July 6th. About nine days after I was changing to leave work and felt a very large clot pass. I decided probably not that serious changed my pad and drove to a friends house, when i got there i was soaked, completely. She drove me to the ER and I waited for what seemed like FOREVER to see the dr. They had to changed the four pads under me about 10 times because they kept soaking with blood. The dr finally came in and explained that this is pretty common. Basically they Cauterize (kind of like when you burn the end of a rope to keep it from fraying) the area of the LEEP afterwards and that wears off so the area starts to bleed. By the time she came back to do a pelvic exam the bleeding had stopped.

Believe me I know how scary it is to be basically covered in blood. Just letting you know, this is like three days after your post so I'm sure everything is okay now!
