HI,
I am so sorry that you have to deal with this but i can say you came to a very good place to find information. I believe you need to go with what your head tells you although 4 months is not a long time it can be if you are just going to wonder and worry, I should know I have been waiting for my appointment with the oncologist for a few weeks after getting the bit "C" diagnosis. I can tell you that my original pap results although still not great were a lot different then the diagnosis I got after my colposcopy came back and now with tomorrow I hope the diagnosis has not changed and i can get on with treatment. Do some research on your diagnosis I found that my original prior to the colposcopy was not even cancer but a pre-cancer and if that had stayed my diagnosis then the 4 months or 6 months would have been offered, However with the results from the colp I found out I have a very aggressive form of cancer and so that approach is being taken. There is no harm in switching doctors, it is your health that is important and your comfort. There is another website that I belong too and they have a lot of forums on different types of pap results and cancers and pre-cancers you can look into and then get some more answers it is called hystersister. Good luck and don't be afraid to ask a million and one ???Hope this helped some I know how hard this must be.
