Good afternoon. I had a LEEP procedure early 2004, everything went well no additional issues- I followed medical plan each 3 months PAP then if clean then once a year. I have always made sure I have had annual exams my entire adult life and the first LEEP occurred after years of no issues- 03 was fine and in one year it was not. I had some symptoms with the original issue but did not connect the symptoms to the cause but this time I did not. I am scheduled for a Colposcopy on Monday.
My question is has anyone had a recurrence and if so what was the treatment- LEEP again, cold knife conizaiton or simple hysterectomy. I have two teenage children and will not be having anymore children.
Also, I am shut down emotionally on this recurrence and I think that is not normal. I did tell my husband about the Colposcopy on Monday but I have not been as overwhelmed as I had in the first experience.
