Back in 2002 my father had a kidney transplant. They took out his left kidney at the time because it looked suspicious and after testing it was found to be cancer. He never received treatment for the cancer. My father was diaognosed with Recurrent RCC with mets to the lung back in August 2007. They changed his antirejection medication because they said it was fueling his cancer. He now has discovered a lump in his left groin. He thinks it is a hernia. He went to his regular doctor and the doctor thought maybe it was his lymph node but said maybe it is a hernia. The past few days he has had an extremely high temp. that does go away after he rests and takes tylenol. I fear that it is his lymph node but do not want to alarm him. He refuses to go to the Oncologist. Refuses to believe other than it is a hernia. Am I over reacting? The doctors have told him they can no longer do CTScans to see how the disease is progressing because they do not want to risk damaging the transplanted kidney. We will never know what is happening until his body shows us. I don't know what to make of any of this anymore. Open to anything that sounds logical.
Thanks
