Leep 6 Months Ago, Recent Pap High Grade, Again!

I had a LEEP done 6 months ago and had my follow-up pap last week.  Doctor just called and said that pap came back high grade and need to schedule a colp.  When I had my pap last wk the Dr also did a endometrial biopsy (cause I bleed, 10 days on and then 10 days off!).  That came back fine (he was thinking maybe a hormone issue).  Well, my questions is, has anyone had a LEEP and then 6 months later had to go for another colp? My opinioin, it does not sound good for it to come back so quickly....am I right? Or am I just stressing myself out? Just really scared...and I don't want to go thru all this again! Is there anyone out there that has gone thru this and if so, how did it turn out? Thank you!

I had a leep done at the end of Sept. 28 I was diagnosed with CIN 3 I did have positive margins with the leep. My doc wants me to follow up in three months from the time from the leep so I actually go in a few weeks. I had to change docs for another reason and after reviewing my case with the new doc she wants to do another pap and a colposcopy at the same time. They say that even if my pap is normal I should be followed every three to four months for repeat paps for the first year as long as they are all normal then i will go to every 6 months or something..I'm so nervous i don't want cancer i feel like it's just a waiting game till it either gets better or gets worse i don't know. but if i were you i would definately keep your appointment to follow up and do whatever tests that they want to. I know how hard that is physically, mentally, and finacially but this is something that you don't want to mess with. I'm still paying the hospital bill from my leep but i don't care if i'm broke as long as i'm healthy...  :)

 I feel for yah.  I know how what you're going through...  I was diagnosed with CIN III-carcinoma in situ in Feb at 27 years old.  I have had 3 leeps ~ first in march, then july, then a more extensive one done under anesthesia along with a laparoscopy in september.  it's been a fun year!!!  the last leep came back with clear margins (YAY!!!) but the laparoscopy showed that my uterus was *covered* with white spots.  they couldn't give me a diagnosis which was sooo incredibly scary because i was in constant pain.  finally, i had a hysterectomy last month.  she wanted to treat it as endometriosis with lupron shots, but to me that was too risky.  so i saw another dr. ~ she told me i needed to get it OUT, how could it be treated as endo with no endo diagnosis!  i wondered if i made the right decision being so young, but i do have two children that i'm SO very grateful for!!  

anyway ~ i just wanted to let you know that it *can* reoccur or it is possible that they did not get it all with the first leep.  Do you know what your exact diagnosis is??  It could help ease your worry if you know for sure.  I know for me it helped to get a second opinion.  it defnitely *can't* hurt.  also, it helped me to take someone with to my dr appointments.  I never hurts to have a second set of ears and mouth to help ask questions (because my head was spinning during it all!!)   I went to the dr. yesterday and FINALLY got cleared to come back in 12 months... (which still to me is pretty scary to wait *12* months after all i have gone through!!)  the gyn is *NOT* a nice place to be such a frequent flyer hahah.  

Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions or for some support, i know this board and another helped me out tremendously with my worry - just to have someone to talk to that KNEW what i was going through!!  hope all is well, please let me know how you're doing!

I agree w/ you on the waiting game.....just having to hope each time will be better......It's a horrible game! I am going to keep my appointment forsure, just the thought of doing this all over again, and the waiting is the WORST!
