My father was diagnosed with stage iv liver cancer about 3 weeks ago. He went in for colon cancer surgery and they ended up removing about 8-10 inches of his colon-the doctor told him that the cancer had spread to his liver and lymphnodes. We are trying to stay positive but... It is very hard for my family-especially me. I am a very realistic person and from what I read it basically tells me he has 1 year tops. If their are any success stories out there please relay them too me-I need to hear them so it will change my outlook on things. Also, since the surgery he had to be re-admitted to the hospital because of a bowel obstruction and have now found out that the incision has become infected and is leaking in his stomach? He has a drain tube in his nose. Will he survive this? Can someone please give me some advise or previous experiences please I am desperate.
Thanks for listening-and God Bless to everyone with cancer. My heart goes out to all of you.
