Any long term survivors of Bile Duct Cancer?

29 year old female diagnosed with Bile Duct Cancer three months ago.

Second surgery in 3 weeks.

Anyone else out there, particularly around my age?

Feeling alone. Scared. Uncertain of what the future holds.

Oh... You are soooo not alone.

My boyfriend was also diagnosed with CC at 29 years old.  It is hard and stressfull.  It sometimes feels like everyone is so negative but he had his one year anniversary from being diagnosed in Oct. 2006 and had surgery one 1/5/07 so he is coming up on his one year anniversary of being cancer free.  I don't think he will ever be the same but he is alive and doing ok all in all.  Keep the faith.... You are young and strong.  Where are you treating?

Don't just pray for a miracle, Expect one!

dear alone,      My young wife 47 was diagnosed at 45 almost 2 and a half yrs ago. Two surgeries and some chemo later it is back.We have been lucky that her liver and other major organs have remained cancer free.Chalangio almost always seems to return somewhere. As I write this I have to say I am surprised she is still with me .(THANK GOD). Some days are hard and sometimes I find I need to just enjoy the moment. There is really no way to predict what will happen. Last year at this time she got ascities and I thought her liver was failing, but here it is one year later the cancer is back ,and they would like to put her on a chemo pill to try to shrink a small nodule on her abdominal cavity.  I do not know if this post has helped anyone .I have been reading and watching these boards for over two yrs. and I guess  if WE ARE STILL IN THE FIGHT then we are doing OK. GOOD LUCK TO ALL AND GOD BLESS YOU.

Gina,

That is great news!  I wish you the best.  After your resection, did you have chemotherapy?

No Radiation or Chemotherapy...There was no cancer found in the lymph nodes so they said I did not have to have it..Gina..
