My 23 yr old Daughter is being Tested for Leukemia

yes, the peripheral blood smear should show elevated blasts if she has leukemia.

Thank you again, for your input.... it is very much appreciated.  I am sure I will be back, once we see the Oncologist and get those blood results. 

 I just found out... the only Specialist we have in town... is a little harsh, almost uncompassionate, but a good doctor.  I would prefer good doctor over good bedside manner any day.  Hopefully we will have news by the first of the year, they way scheduling seems to be going.

My 24 year old daughter is going through what daughter has gone through.  Her WBC 5 months ago was 13 and now is 17.  The ranges are 4.3 - 10.8.  I am freaking out.  She is being referred to a blood specialist.  Our dr. said that she'll be needing a bone marrow biopsy to rule out cancer.  Can't help but think it's to confirm not rule out.  How is your daughter now?
