Hi. Today I was just told I have to have the LEEP procedure done.  I have CIN II.  I am so scared and I feel all alone.  I am only 21 years old and I keep thinking how could this happen to me.  I have my whole life ahead of me and I just am lost.  I don't know too much about the procedure and have so many unanswered questions.  I know that after it you can not lift heavy things.  But I am a nanny does this mean I have to call off work for a whole month?  I have no idea.  I also am scared to tell the person I just started being involved with since this is related to my diagnosis of HPV.  I just don't know how to handle this.  I don't know how to handle this. Can anyone help?

First of all REMAIN Calm! Stress is not good for your body! :) It will be ok, I have had the radical trachelectomy, I am fine! Im sure there will be some postings on the leep from other members to give you more info, I think the main thing I want to say is, HPV is a virus and it's not really an STD just about everyone has this virus. Its nothing to be ashamed of, it's doesn't make you dirty or bad. It's very common and if we would have had the vaccine available to us when we were younger we would not have these issues. Be careful of the info you get on the internet, some of it can be very scary. Call your DR and get some detailed questions answered. You're going to be fine, you caught it early! Take care of yourself and best of luck.
