My 77 year old dad was diagnosed with GB cancer in July.  He was told there was no treatment and so decided he would die - he almost did.  He started chemo "just for you kids" and mom.  That was 2 1/2 months ago.  HIS TUMORS ARE SHRINKING!!!  His last trip to the emergency room scared him enough to start looking at what was going on in him and around him.  He started eating even though he was not really hungry - he makes himself it.  His appetite is returning.   He is gaining weight.  His out-look on life is so different now.

We know that Dad will go home to God when God is ready - until then we are all LIVING and making wonderful memories.

If you or someone you know has GB cancer - the chemo drug Gemzar may offer help.

Charlotte,

It is truly a miracle when you hear news like this.  My mom was diagnosed with GBC in May and they gave her 3-6 months with not much hope.  She started Gemzar about 4 months ago.  Her tumors appear to be shrinking as well, however, she is not really eating and that is taking its toll.  i want her to take a break so she can regain her strength but it is such an agressive cancer that they want her to keep going.  I hope she can hang on b/c there may just be a future for my 62 year young mom.

Thank you for sharing and giving hope.

Take care,

Sherry
