My husband had a biopsy of the rib with the diagnosis of Plasmacytoma. His bone survey showed a question of lytic lesion. So we are now waiting on the results of CT Scans to see if this is the case. He does have elevated IgG is slightly high-1817 as well as his Beta B2-2.21. His bone marrow biopsy came back clean so far. He is having trouble with his blood clotting. Dr. says stage one.

My question is this...is there anyone who has had radiation to the rib for what would start out to be a Solitary Plasmacytoma and then it developed in to Multi Myeloma (MM)?

Also does any know how we would go about finding a Multi Myeloma specialist in CA or are they just in other states? Also are there different types of MM?

Thank you for helping us wade through this. I have read through the messages and have not seen anyone who has dealt with the radiation.

Cary

I am also wondering if anyone has chosen not done anything to treat MM and what the outcome is? Seems that heavy doses of Chemo and stem cell is what is the protocol to treat MM?
