This is my 1st winter out of the hospital with the mets. It has been very cold here and my femurs and arms and shoulders have been aching just like back in 2006 when 1st diagnosed. I am curious if anyone else has this horrifying pain due to bone mets,,,,,I am 41 I take Zometa monthly.I really dont think arthritis hurts this badly. I have terrible pain. I am 42 I also have bone mets, but in remission. Im also on femera. From what I have read pain is a side effect. Nothing seems to help the pain and I walk like im 90 sometimes. But pain is someting I can handle if the meds are keeping the cancer away. Worked for me when I took Neupogen shots during chemo and had horrible bone pain. Am now taking a supplement called Kaprex by Metagenics for the arthritis-type pain that comes with Arimidex (I too felt like I was 80 when I stood up) and that has helped a lot.
