I was diagnosed with Stage IV small B cell follicular lymphoma.  It was
indolent.  Then I developed Hodgkins Lymphoma.  The HL is still in
remission.  The NHL has come back as grade 3.  I've had ABVD.  I've had Bexxar and Gemzar/Cysplatin.  I've had radiation.  My immune system is worn out.  I don't qualify for stem or bone marrow transplants.  I don't even qualify for anymore chemo.  How long does it take to die from my cancer?  Theythink it is gone for now and are giving me Rituxan.  I don't think it worked very well the last time.  My remission times are extremely short.  So, when we quit the Rituxan and do nothing, what can I expect?  No one tells me how long it takes to die or how much pain is involved, etc.
Can you give me any estimates on time and what it is like to die of NHL?

I am so sorry.  I will be praying for you.  How horrible.  I sent you a private e-mail that might bring you some hope

Kitty!

My father, 74 was just diagnosed with Stage 4B, Grade 3 follicular lymphoma which has transformed.  We were told this on Thursday and just finished our first treatment of R-CHOP.  He has advanced disease, his age does not help as well.

I found a wonderful site, called www.lymphomasurvival.com.  There is a toll free number that you can call and get access to the site.  The gentleman who started it is a 19 year survivor.  His name is Robert.  Give him a call, I know he will be able to answer your questions.  In one of his newsletters he discusses how I will die from this disease.  It may be of a help for you.

I'm sorry to hear the extent of your disease, don't give up!
