Neuroendocrine Carcinoid

My husband has been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine cancer in his lung,

liver and lymphnodes in his abdomen.  We have been told there is not alot of treatment for this kind of cancer, and we were told there is too much

disease in the liver to be operable.  The tumor in the lung is right near the arota, and on the valves going into the lung and this is also not operable due to the location.  We have also been told that the conventional chemo and radiation  do not work on this kind of cancer.  We have heard of something called MIBG, has anyone had this done, or can you let me know if there is treatment for neuroendocrine carcinoid?
