My Father Who Has Cancer, His Platelets Are At 70,000 This Past Monday.

Subject: My father who has cancer, his platelets are at 70,000 this past Monday.
Date: 12/13/2007

Should my dad have chemo at this number?   Not even sure if the oncologist would approve it next week..(when he gets hi blood tested again).. 

Has anyone out there, who is on chemo/ received chemo...had 70,000 or less platelets ..............but still received their chemo treatment???

Did it work out ok?  I know its a risk.
