Hello Everyone,

My Dad was diagnosed with stomch caner back i july of 07. he didn't tell us untill late september becasue he doesnt want his 3 girls to worry. He has strated his chemo the week after thanksgiving and is now getting radiation.  He has been in and out of the hospital since he started the radiation 3 weeks ago, he is bleeding from his cancer because it is dying which is good news but it's scary to see my dad in the hospital.  I read most of the post on nutriton, and will try different types of protien shakes and hope fully he will find one he likes, my dad and sisters and i are very worred about his weight in may he weighed 214 today he now weighs 154 he gets depressed about that and that is the one thing that makes him depressed and scared that he will starve to death. i am glad i stumbled upon this group i hope to find stories about anyone who has gone through this and is living wonderfull normal lives so that i can show him that people get through this. so if any who has gone through this who is a male in his late 50s or early 60's please send your succses story i think that would give my dad some motivation.  thanks everyone for taking time to read. i will surley check in on this message board all the time.   Night

Jenn
