Sutent Side Effects

hello,this is my first time in this web site. i am from spain.sorry for my english.

my father is 75, he has his kidney removed this summer, but the cancer has spread to his liver, first they told us that is something very small, but the fact is he is on stage 3. now he is on the 20th day of the first cycle of sutent (50mg). my mum is very worried because my dad is yellow, a bit slimer and he feels very tired. are these normal side effects? will he feel better during the two weeks rest? will he feel this tired during the following cycles of the sutent treatment? please if somebody can help i would  appreciate a lot . thanks a lot

I just signed up for this message board and your message was the only one there. I have been on Sutent for 2 sessions. The first was the worst one of the two. I lost a lot of weight and was pretty sick for a while. The worst was the mouth sores, mostly the tongue. I did not eat not did I WANT to. Taste was non-existant! The second session was not quite so bad as I did not have stomach issues as in the 1st session. However the mout sores were just as bad and this leaves for pretty miserable feeling. I am off it now the the two week "break". And tomorrow I have a CAT scan to see if the tumor has been affected one way or the other.
