Craig,

Beings you seem to be somewhat up on the more natural treatments that may or may not work, have you heard of or know anything about:
Robert Barefoot Cesium Chloride Protocol For Treating Cancer

Have you tried the Coral Gold gel followed by DMSO directly on the tumor sight for pain and shrinkage of the tumor? COQ10 to help shrink tumors?

Do you know anything about the whole PH balance, cancer grows in an acidic environment?

Thanks for bearing with me as we continue to do research.

Good Evening Gibby;

I'm sure Craig won't mind me adding my two cents to this post.

If you want to investigate Ph balances and its affect on cancer in general then you need to click on the site below. The man is Dr. Robert Young and his wife Shelley Young. They are THEE GURU'S concerning diet, nutrition and lifestyle changes to treat cancer. In fact, they don't just talk about treating cancer, their mindset is about placing it in permanent remission.

Their motto is: "Miracles don't just happen, they're expected".

www.phmiracleliving.com

They have published books, videos, etc. which if you can't access through the website let me know and I will forward that information to you.

I hope you had an enjoyable holiday and Santa brought you all that you asked for!

Take care;

Kevin

Good Evening Gibby;

If by the "norm" you mean the cookie-cutter treatment these Drs. prescribe in their "factories" the answer is YES.

I have taken an active role in my treatment plan and question anyone or anything that sparks my interest. Not belligerently, mind you, but don't expect me to accept an opinion that is going to affect my life with the supposition that "that's just the way we do it."

I read everything I can concerning this desease. And I firmly believe that only by educating ourselves are we going to force these Drs. to challange themselves to stumble upon a cure. And yes, I do mean stumble upon. Just look at Revlimid. Presently a Godsend, from a pill that caused so much heartache in the '60's.

Another thing I strongly believe in is that pills/medicine aren't the cure all we are meant to believe. We must supplement the meds with changes in our diet, eating habits and lifestyles! But, don't waste your breath attempting to question the Drs.(They only understand meds.) Speak with a dietician or nutritionist. Photog is a valuable resource for natural products.Personally, I haven't had to make major changes in my diet. I ate pretty healthy before I was Dx. However, I had created an acidic environment within my body and somehow "invited" this cancer in. Stay away from coffee, drink green tea instead. Just as cancer thrives in an acidic environment, it loves sugar! If you must sweeten your foods, I have found NuStevia to be the best. (Available at our local Wegmans) I eat either blackberries, raspberries and blueberries daily. Careful with the blues as they are acidic. I test my urine daily and keep the level in the green. Strive for 7.35. but keep it above 7.0. Increase your consumption of onions and garlic. Also eat more dark green leaf vegetables. Yellow is also a good color to eat. Sea salt is better than regular salt. Avoid any products made from a pig. No mushrooms! They are a fungus. (I read an article by a Dr.who believes that cancer is a fungus. Any medical people wish to comment?)  Eat more fish. Did you know that the Chinese and Japanese people smoke more cigs than we Americans but their cancer rate is lower? Drs. figure that the difference is because they consume so much more fish than us. Avoid alcohol, although it is said that a glass of red wine daily is good for you. Increase your fluid intake, especially water. You must keep the kidneys healthy and flushed, this will pay dividends later on. I asked my Dr. about "later on" he told me that I'll die from renal failure. The kidneys just can't keep up with all the protein produced. Keep them strong now.

I exercise daily. I'm not talking about marathons or swimming the Channel. But the muscles are going to help protect the bones from breakage. Keep them in tone. Even if it's only stretching.

Above all, keep a positive attitude! Watch the video "The Secret." This may sound far-fetched but I believe the body hears what the mind is thinking. I avoid those "pity-me-I'm-going-to-die" people. Gram always said "misery loves company."

Find comfort in your faith. Whatever your belief in a supreme entity may be.

I know I've started to ramble Gibby, but you asked for the quarter tour and you got it. I have no magic elixir to offer you. Only the wish that you lower your numbers by changes in diet, lifestyle and mindset. We will find a cure for this desease! We must!

Take care;

Kevin

Great message Kevin!!  I hope that Gibby follows your advice for from my personal experience it is true!

We're in a real heat wave here -- its been 40 - 42 C everyday for the past week -- ugh!!  It was really the pits the other night when there was a power failure all over the city -- they say it was because of all the people using air conditioning!  I'd much rather be cold for you can always put on more warm clothing, but there is only so much you can decently take off when trying to get cool!!  I hope you are enjoying a lovely cold winter.  Best wishes for the new treatment that you will be undertaking later this month!!  I look forward to a report on how it goes.  Best wishes for the New Year -- hopefully this will be a real step forward towards a long term remission.  Cath

A very inspiring message Kevin. When mum was originally diagnosed with MM I was advised to put her on Xango juice or Goji juice but after reading up on cancer and its ability to "breed" in a acidic or sugar induced atmosphere I immediately stoppped it. Besides it was costing a fortune as was CO Q10 which really did not do very much. In our caseI was paying for at least 8 diff vitamins and the expense was too great. Now I have mum on Odourless fish oil 1000mg 3 caps three times a day. Her MM was under control untill 3 mths ago. It returned after only 2 years after her extensive treatment and Stem cell transplant. I also pray for a Cure. Mum is also about to see an orthopedic surgeon for a knee relacement. They believe steriods have eaten part of her knee joint. MRI revealed that the base of her femur has died. Mum has always been on steriods all her life. Whether it be for asthma , arhritis which mind you she never had!! Integram seems to be helping her Asthma and I am not sure about the Zameta as she is missing part her bone???? MM is an understated disease with not many people knowing what it is and that at this stage cannot be cured.. We as a whole can only be positive and keep on fighting for future generations.

Happy New Year to you and be health be on your side

Happy New Year Cath;

We didn't have a white Christmas but we did have a white New Year's. About 6" outside. No need for any A.C. this weeks low's are in the teens. I don't mind the snow, in fact I enjoy shoveling it, but the darn cold. I must be getting old. None the less, I couldn't imagine moving somewhere without a nice mix of the seasons.

I Mom was over last night and mentioned that she saw on T.V. that Geraldine Ferraro (female Vice President candidate many moons ago) has MM. In fact, she's been battling it for ELEVEN YEARS. I believe that's a motivating story!

Before I close, I want to thank you and Melanie and Carol for your kind words. We will find a cure for this.

I wish everyone in our far reaching family a happy, healthy and positive New Year.

Kevin

Hi Kevin, Thank you for your reply. I appreciate being on the same page as you. My husband has opted not to have conventional treatment at this time. We both feel time is on our side to try more natural way of helping the body to fight the cancer. Conventional seems to have so many side effects, quits working after a period of time and the MM specialist are not all in agreement on treatment. History: Plasmacytoma Dx October 07 MM Diagnosis: December 07 IgG Kappa MM Stage 1 IgG -1817 Beta B2-2.21. Bone marrow biopsy-less than 1% Myeloma cells Cytometry Analysis-IgG kappa plasma cell (CD 38 Bright)-.14% WBC & RBC and rest of blood work seem fine. Albumin 4.3 No protein in urine Lytic Lesions- 1 on 6th rib right side—3.8 by 1.7 by 3.5 cm & 1 small partial (suspect for Plasmacytoma) on 1st mid rib left side No chromosome 13 issues PET Scan clean except the right rib lytic lesion Dexa Study-Ostepenia L4, right & left Femoral necks. I am in complete agreement on the acidic enviroment and sugar affecting cancer. My husband has had rib pain, chronic cough & a gurgling, whistling sound when he lays down for 10 months. After a specialist and 5 different drs. we took matters into our own hands with naturalpath and after 3 weeks the sounds and cough are almost completely gone. And the pain in his rib is no longer sore to the touch. There is still deep pain so we will wait the verdict of the supplements. He is taking Solar Calcium, hyaluronic acid, TH2S, Joint Formula, K mulsion as well as a good multi vitamin and Cod liver oil. I am still wondering about the Cesium Chloride & Coral Gold gel followed by DMSO if any one has checked into either. And I would be interested in knowing what anyone else had tried. We both know that God has numbered our days before there was even one and take much comfort in His truth. Gibby PS I am hoping this does not post twice as I was working on a reply and hit something and it disappeared.

You may wish to private E-mail a poster "Photog" for more information regarding alternative supplements. He is quite knowledgeable and very willing to share his experiences.

Take care;
