My mom is on her second round of Sutent and is on day 19 of the pill.  She is experiencing bloody noses on a daily basis, mouth sores as well as sores on her hands, feet and belly button as well as a new side effect, headaches.  Can anyone please give me any advice to help us through the side effects?  The mouth and hand sores are under control with mouthwash, cream and poweder.  She is getting upset often and I do not know what to do to help her.

Call your mother's doctor ASAP. Your mother's side effect reactions  from sutent are severe and need the doctor's attention. Good luck.

Dear Missy,

I will agree that u should contact your oncologist if your mom is getting nosebleeds on a daily basis.

I have been on Sutent for quite sometime having started my 11 cycle a few days ago. I have had nosebleeds but only occasionally. U might want to also mention to the oncologist about the headaches and naucea. I have gotten medication for the naucea that comes from taking Sutent. It has helped me! Reading posts here on this site has helped me tremendously hearing what others have gone through and getting answers to my questions. I have used UDDER SMOOTH and MSM on my feet  to help with the inflamation and dryness. Good luck!
