I am 42, had my tubes tied in March 07. I was having terrible left hip pain since July 07 which brought me to the ortho in Oct 07. He had me do a pelvic MRI which found cycts and fluid on my left ovary and also adenomyosis. He sent me to the gyn for TVUS, well dr did exam first, only felt my left ovary and I had no pain and thought it was just ligaments. Results of TVUS, cysts on left ovary, adenomyosis, complex cyst on right ovary with fluid. This prompted him to do a CA125, it came out at 57, he sent me to the gyn/onc who did a vaginal/rectal exam and said it didn't "feel" like cancer, but he couldn't rule it out. My options, another TVUS which I had sceduled anyway for the next day and a follow up CA125, or I could do a biopsy or hysterectomy since I do have adenomyosis and don't want any more kids, he will do it laporscopically. I still haven't received the official results of that TVUS though it was done on Dec 19th. The prelim showed my right ovary changed shape and size, got bigger and has a septated cyst. That's all I know so far, oh, and there are still two cysts on left ovary. Official report should be done Monday. I have my follow up CA125 on Tues and my preop that day too where they will test me for everything. I have had the symptoms of OVCA since about Thanksgiving, bloating, constipation, gas, nausea, and severe pains..have some weird spotting between periods not every day though, but it has been more than 5 times, clumpy pink stuff. I am scheduled for the hysterectomy on Jan 16th..decided I didn't want to take any chances and didn't want biopsy then hysterectomy since I need it to get rid of the adenomyosis pain. Also found out from reading historical records that from 94-96 I had PID not caused by an STD, but nobody did anything. Also have a history of painful ovarian cysts. I am very concerned and stressed that it will be cancer, I lost my husband 8 months ago and have two children...the stress is hard. Anyone have these symptoms and have OVCA or not? The change in my ovary and the septation concern me too. Thanks for your help.
