I am five chemo treatments into NHL. I go every three weeks and I have one more week before the next one.

My question is has anyone experienced extreme fatigue? It seems the last two days I cannot stay awake and sleep for a while, get up and then go back to bed.

My counts were taken last week and I was given shots for them.

Please help.

Completed 10 cycles for NHL-did chemo every 27 days. Feeling great about 2 days before chemo would start again. Yes fatigue is part of the deal. It seems to gather up strength to where you could be mid-sentence only to need to lay down and sleep. After your treatments you may continue this need for sleep for awhile. Continue to listen to your body remember this is a battle and you need the strength to forge ahead. Take care

I had four chemo treatments and being tired is still a part of my life. Prior to chemo, I could not sleep duriing the day for anything. Now, I can be at the PC and my eyes get so heavy, I just wanna sleep. Even at work, I get so sleepy. Its been 4 or 5months since my last treatment. hang in there. I hear it will get better

I found out last Septmber that I had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I have never been so scared in my life!
Having just finished 8 cycles of CHOP Vinicristin and 18 radiation treatments I found out two weeks ago that I am in REMISSION!!!!! Praise God!!!!!

I am 43 yrs. old and the chemo pushed me right into menopause so I do get overly emotional occasionally and I do have periods that I just get soooo tired; the fatigue is disappearing though. I am a stubborn person so I have a tendency to push myself to hard and I usually end up paying for it in the end. I need to let myself rest more often.

I do think proper rest is very important though. I think as cancer patients (current or in remission) need to give ourselves what our bodies need. Support is wonderful too!
