Hi Every One

My dad just start taking Budwig diet 3 days ago.

at this point he is only taking the drinks which is the flax oil + cc + flax seeds and i didn't follow the protocol 100 %,

As end result i believe would be useless, my dad doesn't want to give up his white rice and meat ( he believes his body need them to fight the cancer).

Morning

1 X  Super juice ( fresh orange/apples/carrot/kiwi/grapes)

1 x Budwig bar ( 2 tbp flax oil / 4 cottage cheese / 2 tbp of flaxseed)

1 x Green tea to washing down

Lunch (Problem)

White rice as main

fully cooked veg with some meat

Raw fruit after

Dinner

White rice as main

fully cooked veg with some meat

1 X  Super juice ( fresh orange/apples/carrot/kiwi/grapes)

1 x Budwig bar ( 2 tbp flax oil / 4 cottage cheese / 2 tbp of flaxseed)

1 x Tea for washing down

At this point i noticed white rice is one of the problem and the cooked veg is not enough and MEAT which is bad.

what food can i replace white rice as main ?

what kinder cooking oil should i use ?

how much veg is enough  ?

well he needs to give up the red meat and actually all meat. my father is fighting pc mets to the bone and he is doing budwig as well.  but he has not touched red meat in 2 years.  and he isa meat and potato guy- or was.  eats wild fish and soy products not cheese and mostly raw veggies. once cooked they lose all vitamins and body cant digest and get anything worth while.  white rice if he HAS to have rice switch to whole grain.. but limit it...go to cancer tutor dot com and it will tell you all you have to do. its not fun but if you want to live and fight this C thing you have to do it the right way!

also- oil that is best to cook with and does not go as bas when under heat is avocado oil.. (order on line or get at whole foods) and use olive oil for other not cooked items

Hi,

You may want to try some other types of grains such as barley or quiona.

If your father has to have rice then use brown. We also use a lot of legumes,  and I make a lot of bean soups.  We eat hummous and use chick peas in casseroles and soups.  I have also started making indian type dishes which has a curry.  The turmeric in curry is great for battling cancer.  Eastern Asian cooking has noodles made from mung beans, and soba which is a wheat product.

My husband is the same.  He did okay without meat for a while, but now feel like he needs meat in his dishes, so I do add a little bit in my soups, just enough so he can see it and it adds to the flavor.  I try to use free range or organic products.  I admit it is not alway easy.

Look up vegan recipes for some good ideas.

I agree that brown and wild rices always beat white rice ----raw foods (including fresh juices like wheatgrass juice, carrot, celery, greens) beat the cooked foods. Website www.alternativecancer.com has a best book on cancer they recommend at their main page which discusses the Budwig diet in detail and hundreds of other alternative methods. They also have a search you can do for alternative clinics nationwide.
