Thank you all for the great information on the leep. I get to have the leep done too. Found out I have CIN2 from my colposcopy biopsy. I was really nervous for the colposcopy, but I didn't think it was much worse than a regular pap.. After the horror stories I heard, I was a mess and thought the pain would be unbearable. My doctor was awesome. She made me feel at ease and talked with me about everything. I wouldn't want to do it again, but I felt relieved it wasn't bad at all...
So, I never had an option of being put under for the leep. My doctor said she is going to do it in her office. She said it won't hurt and told me she will numb my cervix first then complete the leep. I'm wondering why so many people have had the procedure done under anesthesia, but others aren't. I guess if it's not that bad, may as well just have it done awake..
