I'm 8 weeks out out radiation treatment for SCC on the base of my tongue. Generally, I'm recovering well. But I have deposits of thrush around my molars that don't seemt to want to disolve. The docs have been great and have suggested trying Nystatin straight in stead of just in the mucosistis mouthwash.
The remaining thrush makes chewing very difficult. I'm not complaining, I know it takes time. But the soreness in my throat has dissipated and all that is keeping me from going to more and more solid food is this remaining thrush which keeps my tongue sore. Anyone have any experience or ideas....
Thanks
L
