Does anyone know if bone mets from kidney cancer is treatable and to what extent?I wonder what radiation does to the bone, does it kill the cancer in the bone? How about Sutent ?But surely RCC would pop back up in the bone anyway?Do the bones link the cancer to everywhere like the lymphs? Is anyone knowledgeable on this subject?

Hello knowledgeispower.....I am not able to answer any of your questions but I can tell you that a friend of mine survived terminal cancer (prostate) that had spread to his bones and pretty well every organ in his body. I posted a message about his experience early last year on this board but in case you can't find it in the archives I'll repost it here. Today, more than a year later he is still cancer free. If you would like information on the treatments he took I'll gladly send you what I know. Since this board seems to be having some problems it might be best to use private message. _____________________________________________________________ TERMINAL PROSTATE CANCER CURED I am posting this story because it truly appears to be a miraculous result of a few weeks of non traditional treatments for terminal prostate cancer, a shift in intention and/or perhaps even Divine Intervention. A friend of mine was told in early December 2006 by oncologists that he would not survive to see Christmas. His wife who is a nurse, saw all of his scans and tests and understood she could soon be arranging for palliative care and making funeral arrangements. His cancer had spread throughout his body into most organs and bones and his lungs were so full he could hardly draw a breath. He was given steroids for pain control. After a few days of despair he decided to go ice fishing which is one of his great passions and something happened to change his mind set and he decided to fight. He made arrangements to take natural treatments at a complementary medical clinic nearby. He had about 12 weeks of weekly Intravenous Vitamin C/ Lipoic Acid infusions along with a 21 day course of daily injections of 714X. He did take one injection of Lupron at the beginning of these treatments. Today he has no symptoms of dis ease. He feels strong and healthy, takes no pain meds, has resumed all daily activities and his scans reflect this amazing change in his health. The oncologists who did his scans for him told him he should just keep up what he is doing. My understanding is that there are no side effects to these treatments other than a possible one to the high dose Vit.C if one has had a previous problem with kidney stones. I hope this message is helpful and hopeful to others and if anyone would like more information please feel free to contact me. Blessings Shemay

Hi!  Im wondering if you could give a name of that clinic where natural healing is available.  Your friend's story gives me hope.  Could you give me and others more info on the clinic please?  Thank you.

Hi YelenaSF I am not able to post the website for the clinic I go to on this public board since they don't allow this type of commercial post. You can send me a private message for it. In the meantime I can tell you that it is located in southern Ontario, Canada and is run by a medical doctor who began his career as a geneticist. He then went on to become a medical doctor and had a thriving practice. He became disillusioned at the ineffectiveness and often destructiveness of many of the treatments he'd been taught to give so he studied further and now practices alternative/complementary medicine. If you let me know where you live I may be able to direct you to a clinic in your area that offers the same treatments and services. Blessings

Hello Knowledge, I am one w/mets to bone, it is located in my left shoulder. I was DX in Dec.of 07, did 14 treatments of Rad. with no help. I was then started on Sutent 50 mg (28 days) on (14days ) off . My shoulder began to hurt and I started to lose range of motion so my Onc referred me to an ortho Dr who then referred me to an onc/ortho surgeon. His plan was to operate on the shoulder by scraping the lesion off and replacing w/ type of cement to strengthen bone loss caused by met. At first I said no way it doesn't hurt that much. He said fine but if I ever changed my mind to let him know. Well, from Feb till July My mind did change I just came home yesterday from surgery on Thurs. Will keep everyone posted on how everything goes. Just talk with your onc and get a sec. oppinion if you disagree. Hope everything goes well for you and Take Care  John
