I have been on Arimidex since 7/07 and I was doing not bad but now my body hurts. After sitting for a while my feet and ankles stiffen and I find it hard to walk. I have a hard time getting to sleep and then even harder to stay asleep. When I wake up in the morning my fingers are swollen and my muscles ache. Is this normal for arimidex users or is something else wrong with me. I'm getting worried.

I am also experiencing the same symptoms. Hurts to walk after sitting or lying down. I have lots of joint and bone pain. Having alot of trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. I took Lunesta for a while so that I could fall asleep, but my onocologist doesn't want to prescribe this for me anymore, so I have weaned myself off of it, but I have not had a good night's sleep in a while. I feel tired and am starting to have some depression. I have been on Arimidex for about a year. I also have tingling in my arms and hands when lying down.

I started taking Arimidex Nov 26 and I am ready to quit. I take it at 6am and all day and evening I feel like i am not me and I have a hard time functioning in my tasks at work and nervous when I get home. I too cant sleep at nite, to shakey inside. what time of the day "did" you take Arimidex and what time do you take it now? Did it make a difference in how you felt? Thanks. I am talking to my oncologist monday feb 11.

What time to you take your Arimidex now? And what Vitamin are u on? I'll take all the help I can get, I feel like crap. My surgery was Oct 18 and I started taking Arimidex Nov 26, I hate it and am ready to quit taking it now. My whole body feels bad and I dont feel like doing anything anymore, I have always been a very, very active and hyper person, now not at all. I almost hate myself.

i have been on arimidex since 2006, and i can tell you the pain has gotten worse not better. I have spoken with my Dr . and he has informed me that if im not any better we will try somehting new. I too, have pain in my bones, joints and the bottom of my feet. i have to force myself to bite the bullet and walk. I do find that riding my bike does helpsome though, also i shower as soon as i get up in the morning it does help with the pain. My nights are long because i canot sleep however my dr. has given me ambien and i find i sleep about 5 hours now. there are so many side affects to all cancer meds but what choice do we have. I know we can stop taking the meds but the chance of my cancer coming back would be great I was stage 3 BC and after all my effort to fight this disease i wont let it beat me .this is why ive learned to tolerate the pain.I find comfort in knowing that im not alone. Im sorry that we must go this route but know that WE ARE STRONG. On 1/13/2008 TracEd wrote:

Thank you so much for your reply. It is good to know we aren't going through this alone. I can deal with the aches and pains as long as I know it's from the Arimidex and not from something more serious. I only have 4 1/2 more years of this and I have found that fellowship and prayer goes a very long way. Stay strong and keep moving. God Bless you, Tracy S.
