Nancy...unfortunately, the brain is a common place for metastases from lung and other primary cancers. Don't know the statistics on what % spread or spread to the brain after primary cancer is treated. My mother has lung cancer and hers has spread to the brain and spine...and from my reading up, those are two of the common site the cancer is found in when the cancer spreads. Wishing you the best.
