Hi all..

My father has EC, and we've just begun a laser type treatment.  The problem is he is very thin...he was a small man to begin with.  The laser treatment will take a few more weeks to open his throat enough to be about to eat somewhat normally....He is able to do liquids and pureed foods...Honestly he hates puree.

How many of you  or your family have lost so much weight that you're almost down to nothing...My dad has gone from 135 to 110...I'm scared.

We pack as many calories as we can into the liquids...and yes, Ensure...but it does not seem to be enough...

Any help appreciated...

Angie

hi my mum was diagnosed in september 2007 with adenocarcinoma found in esophagus stage IV as cysts have been found in liver. she was 138 pounds but now is down to 92 pounds. she's 5'2. she's probably as skinny as nicole ritchie or angelina jolie! doctor's are worried and tell her to try to keep eating, but since her chemo sessions since diagnosis she's ony been able to take in ensure.
