Hi Diane

Thank you so much for replying on my message.

May I know what chemo med did they use?  Is it Taxol/Carboplatin?

Yes, I always tell her to think positive and not the negative sides.

Take care and God bless. =)

Hi

Sorry I did not get back right away - did not see your message.I did the carbo/taxol and had a remission for a year. Then went onto tamoxifen for 9 months, then on Gemzar which held everything stable for about 9 or 10 months. THEN I went on Hycamtin last July. Now I am going to Boston to get desensitized to Carbo which I developed an allergy to. Once I get that I will continue with Carbo/Taxol again. I do feel good though. Mostly tired a lot and I can live with that!! Good  luck to you and keep those spirits up!!

I, too, was diagnosed in Jan 07 of stage 3C OC.  My CA125 was around 1450 and after surgery, it dropped to 400 and finally got down to a low of 106.  I am now at 285.3 and am in a study using Avastin for treatment.  My CT scan is great, and my Dr says not to focus on that number, that I'm doing really good; however, when they are talking about our lives, it is not all that easy not to worry.  I am going to start a vegetarian style of eating for a while and see what that does.  I am checking my PH now to see if I am acidic or not, and have just started taking 10 in 1 vitamins, and oxygen drops.  I now, after a year, feel I must start taking responsibility to get better, and not just rely on chemo and such.  I do understand about the disconcernment of the CA125 going up and down, but if your CT scans and such are good, then it must be other things making it fluctuate.

YOu are right you must take charge of your own care- it is hard for the  MD's to get into the holistic approach they are all about the science- however I am a frim beliver that God put them here to use both-- I also have my mom on COQ 10 I did some research and that seems to help with OC- she was a 3C- although her CA 125 was much lower then I have been reading on this site- hers was only 179;  She is on convential thereapy and is doing well- the first treatment was rough on her- but we had just begun the holisitic compliement- the 2nd treatment went very well and we have postitive thoughts for her treatment this week.

Good luck to you- I would be happy to help you with the holisitic approach if you have any questions.  KEEP YOUR BODY FULL OF OXYGEN AND AS ALKALINE AS POSSIBLE - CANCER CAN NOT LIVE IN THAT ENVIORMENT!
