Subject: Preventing Breast Cancer by having Bilateral Mastectomy and Reconstruction

Hello Ladies,

I recently had a breast cancer scare but the tissue turned out to be benign. I have decided to have a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction. The doctors are highly recommending it b/c of the mantel radiation I had when I was diagnosised with Hodgkins Disease in 1980 at 15yrs. I feel like this is the best for me. I am just wondering if anyone else has made this decision. I am scheduled to have the surgery Feb 28, 2008.
