Hi Denise

Sorry to hear about the stage IV Cholangiocarcinima...advanced is an understatement...this is serious. A quick search of the therapy drugs doesn't seem to be the answer for this type of tumor...what does your doctor say regarding your idea. I'm assuming surgery is not an option.

I am currently receiving erlotinib (Tarceva) for treatment of mixed cholangiohepatocellular carcinoma. In addition to the daily pill, I get chemo every 2 weeks of gemcitibine + cisplatin. They may add bevacizumab at some later date, but as of now I am not taking it. This seems to be a common option for people who are not candidates for sorafenib (nexavar).
