I am NOT a doctor, however, five weeks ago I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The symptom was a swollen lymph node under my arm. I started treatment right away and they tell me the "cure" rate is fairly high for this type of cancer.
I have learned a few things the past five weeks.
From what they tell me, an infection 'could' cause the tupe of swelling...I did not have an infection. We ran a CT scan which showed a problem, the next step was a biopsy. The biopsy is pretty accurate as afr as determining the casue of the swelling. I needed a surgical biopsy, however, they could do one with just a needle to draw a tissue sample.
If you want to be sure about what you have, at least get a 'needle' biopsy. You will probably sleep better knowing the results. If there is a 'situation' you need to get moving on the cure. Like I said, I am NOT a doctor. just a friend.
On a spiritual note, at least for me, this has help renew/restore my faith in Jesus Christ and that's a good thing.
Best regards,
Dan
