Carac And Dpd Enzyme Deficiency Worries

Hi.  I found this message board on Monday (it is now Friday) when I first started Carac treatment.  The messages about DPD Enzyme Deficiency, vision loss, death, etc. are FREAKING ME OUT!  Does anyone know how soon into the treatment symptoms of DPD deficiency would start to show up?  I have now done four applications.  Would flu like symptoms have started by now if I have the deficiency?  Do the symptoms occur within a certain amount of hours of applying the Carac?  THANKS for any comments or information.

Did you learn anything else re this ?  I'm worried for my partner

Hi Worrytomuch....I am also freaked out now! I just got my first perscription filled and I am scared to death to use it! I am covered with AK's and have been "burnt-off" over 200 times. They continually return. This Carac is the next step. Have you been ale to find anything on any website that tells you what the heck DPD is???? All I can find are sites that say don't use this stuff if you have it, but nothing that explains what the heck it is...at least not in words I can understand............how is your treatment coming along? You should be done now..right?
