Graviola cause vomitting??

Hi,

My 16 yr. old mini-dachshund Jesse was diagnosed with TCC on 12/26/07.  After reading so many positive remarks about Graviola I purchased a bottle of capsules from a Health Food store here in Madison.  I used only about 1/2 capsule mixed with Jesse's canned food and he vomitted shortly thereafter.  He's also on Metacam which I gave to him at a different meal.  I haven't tried the Graviola again and he has not vomitted anymore. Did anyone else experience vomitting when using Graviola?  Thanks very much.

Deb,

We tried liquid Graviola with our Sheltie, EG.  She did not tolerate it at all and we have taken her back off it.  As with all the other treatments, some dogs tolerate them well, others not.  She has been on Peroxicam for 3 months and has had no problems with it.  Not the case with others, so its all just trial & error.

Hope all goes well for you & your baby.

Hi Connie,

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to hear that your EG has been affected by this too!! We had a tri-colored Sheltie for 13 years.  She was awesome! It's been over 4 mos. now for Jesse and he's still doing quite well. We had a 2nd ultrasound done just last week and the mass is pretty much the same size as it was on 12/26 when they did the lst one. So that's awesome. Jesse is a mini dachshund and is also 16 1/2 yrs. old and is blind and pretty much deaf, so..........we take it 1 day at a time. He's been on Meloxicam. We decided on that vs Peroxicam because it's easier on their stomach and given his age he's had some tummy issues in the past too. How old is EG? Take care and give EG a big kiss from me and Jesse!

Deb
