I have been on this site for couple of weeks now and have found a lot of support and information from many sources within the site.

I have a question ; Is cancer on the spine (bone) operable. my husbands onco says No. But I keep reading that some have had surgery to remove the cancer. A part of the cancer is invading into the spinal canal.

Will nexavarr help in preventing further invasion to the spinal canal. He is just 2 days on Nexavar. So far no side effects. How long until the side effects start?

Thanks for any info and advice

My husband also had spine surgery a year after they removed his kidney.  The RCC had deteriorated the vertebra so they rebuilt that and removed as much of the tumor as they could.  It also attacked one of his hips and he had that replaced a year later.
