My Sister Denys Has Passed Away

Denys passed away on Friday, , just about an hour after me along with  my brothers and sisters left for the airport to return to Long Island, NY. She waited for her husband and my Dad to return before she made her  journey, she was very peaceful and finally out of pain.....   I know my sister wasn't prepared to accept death so soon.,  She fought very hard but her Myeloma was just to strong for her. God needed another Angel and he couldn't have chosen a more beautiful person then my sister Denys.  I will miss her terribly and she will remain in my heart forever.

Dear Susan I am glad you were able to visit with your sister before her passing. It is always the worst for us who are left behind. She will be received joyfully into heaven. My prayers are with you and your family. She fought the good fight!! MMS

Susan, my heart goes out to you and your family. I cannot escape the tears of sadness I am feeling. Your loss feels like my loss all over again. As I know with my husband's passing. I am sure you know it was time for your sister to move on and be free from pain and suffering. Her presence will always be with you. Ironically on Friday had my husband lived, he would've been 59. February 6 will also be a tough day for me. We would've been married 41 years on that day. Each holiday and occassion will be difficult for all of us left behind. Our love for those we have lost will be there forever. We need to go on for them and learn as much as we can about this disease and try to help as many people as possible with the knowledge we have gained. Please continue on this site when you are ready. Your imput will help others. Sometimes I just read the posts. This helps me in my healing process. When I feel compelled I reply to a message. The next few weeks are going to be tough. Looking back at pictures brings the reality of the situation and his condition to me. It is then that I realize he is where he should be. and that is with God. He was a healthy strong vital man 2 years ago. This disease diminished all of that. My husband actually contracted legionaires disease in July of 2005. He was never diagnosed with mm untill September of 2006. He was going to the doctors and having blood work done every 3 months after the legionaires disease which I find very strange. There is a lot more to the story but we can't turn the clock back. We must move forward. The stress is gone but I would much sooner have the stress of the situation then the end. I just can't believe he is gone. I just wonder if the reality will ever set in. If you need any help or encouragement you can email me privately.
