benign bile duct strictures

I have had every test imaginable CT MRI Hyda Scan ERCP and MRCP.  The doctors are finding a bile duct stricture in the upper interhepatic right ble duct. All my path reports and blood work show no cancer.  They are advising me to have 2/3 or more of my right liver lobe removed.  I have be to a major university for this diagnosis but liver surgury is not their specaility.  Anyone encounter anything like this??? Apparently Benign strictures are rare ????
