Because you have all been so helpful to me, I wanted to share with you.
At the halfway point, my husband is doing great. Mild to moderate side effects.
He has lost taste for everything except clear broth soups. He swallows small amounts of small pieces of meat and veggies with it and a lot of mushy rice. Point being....he is still eating despite his growing throat pain. He knows it won't be much longer but is trying his best. He has accepted that when he gets to the point of the patch....USE IT! Thank you to all who responded positively on this.
Here is a little gem only you guys can appreciate. We celebrated yesterday morning when he hacked up a large bloody mass. It came from the area where the nasopharynx tumor primaries were. We decided, being the experts that we are (tee hee) that this was a dried up burnt cancer tumor! HA! HA! HA!
Okay that is sick, right?
