Ec

hey everyone my name is michael im 17 and im doing some research on ec ok i havent really checked into this till now and i have had  these symptoms since i was like 5 or so when i eat it feels like the food gets stuck in my throat or something and then i start to hiccup and eventually it goes down but it hurts i get constant heartburn like right now as i type but does anyone think this is ec or is it just me?

Get yourself to a doctor asap. He will decide how best to handle your situation. EC is nothing to mess around with.

Michael-Have you ever seen a Dr. for it? There are conditions where the esophagus narrows, and in fact one particular type narrowing is congenital so you can be born with it. There are also a lot of muscles involved in swallowing so it could be a muscular disorder. There are many conditions which are abnormal but not cancer. Something like that is probably much more likely than EC, but obviously a medical dr would be the one to make that kind of call. Good luck with it all. Hopefully it will be easy to figure out, without getting too invasive.

At 17 it would not be likely, but if you've had reflux since age 5 you need to be checked out!!
