Hi there
My boyfriend has been undergoing FOLFOX chemo who is also part of the Pani study. He has just completed 9 cycles chemo with fantastic results. Liver tumor shrunk from 22% -- 48% --to 60%. Although the chemo was rather rough at times (terrible rash resembling acne) the results have been amazing.
The Oncologist has decided to stop chemo and now go ahead with liver surgery. I have NO idea what to expect! I presume the waiting period will be anything from 2 - 6 weeks.
Is there anyone out there that knows what i can expect from the liver surgery itself? I believe it is major with a whole lot of complications that can set in. Please share your experience with me. Patient or Care Giver - i need to start preparing myself (mentally) for what is ahead of us.
