My 34 year old son has been diagnosed with an agressive, virulent form of Periperal T Cell non-hodgins lymphoma, nos.  Cannot find a complete match in the national registry.  In order to have BMT.  Has anyone else been in this position.

Not sure if this will help at all, but have they found a 6 out of 10 match or even 5 out of 10 for him.  I know that they don't like to transplant any less then equally matched, but have if they can't find a match that is appropriate.  Have they tested all family memebers that could be good donors?  They probably have, but just some thoughts for you to use if you can.  Take care and God Bless, it is a hard road, but hang in there.

I just came upon your message and hopefully your son is doing well.  My son-in-law has the same disease and could not find an acceptable match in the registry either.  They decided to do an umbilical cord transplant which does not require as good match as an adult donor.  The babies' cells are so immature they should not attack the host as aggressively. If you haven't already ask your oncologist about this approach.  Hope this is helpful.
