my husband has been on nexavar for 2 weeks now. He seems to have got a very mild rash on his head. nothing visible on hands or feet. Slight diarrhea experienced. Any suggestions on what he can apply on his head for relief.I read that he should be using a good cream for hands and feet and all over body even before the symptoms start for rash and dry skin. I just read that today.

He is also taking oxy -drops and flax oil capsules as supplements. Any doctors out there know if this can have any advserve effects on the nexavar treatment. All ive read is good about these supplements.

thanks for responding.

My mother has been on nexavar fro about three months now, she too has the dry skin ichy rash on  her body. Her scalp is very ichy, her hair is not growing and we think it my be thinning slightly. She has been using a Lubriderm lotion on her body since she started treatment. The doctor said he could perscribe something if it got worse on her face, but it hasn't yet. As for the supplements, her doctor told her not to taken anything without notifying him first. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the info, it's hard to know what side effects to expect! We just went to the Dr. he was going to push her up to 6 pills a day, but said he was going to hold off because of the upset stomach she has been getting. So far she has had no burning on her hands or feet. She is going for a Cat scan in six weeks, hopefully we will see a big improvement!

Keep in touch and let me know how things are going!

Hello everyone. I am new here. My brother has been fighting RCC for 22 years now. He is 62 yrs. old. The doc's was always able to remove his by surgery. He has only 3/4 of a kidney now, no adernal glands, had prostate cancer surgery. We have just learned that his cancer is back, but in the bone this time. Lower back in 2 places, middle chest area, femur bone in right leg and few other small spots else were. The Dr. are putting him on a combination of Rad-001 and Nexavar next week. I hope to learn from you out there what to look for and what to expect in the future.

My mom has been on it for 4 months now. It is nice to take chemo in a pill form, from the comfort of your own home. You don't have to spend hours in the hospital. Let me know if you have any questions, I would be happy to tell you more.

Hope
