Due to a cancellation, my surgery has been moved up to tomorrow. I talked to the doctor late yesterday about my CT and he said that it showed no masses, lymph nodes were not swollen and blood vessels were open. So it looks good going in. Of course he said he won't know the exact location or what stage I am in until he gets in there but we're taking the CT as a possitive sign for right now.

My friend who has been through numerous cancers over the years asked her doctor if he knew about my surgeon and she got a "this is the guy that you want perfroming this surgery" from him. When I went in for pre-op, everybody (even the woman taking my insurance infomation) was very familar with whipple which made me feel better.

With any luck, I'll post back here in a couple of weeks to share my experience in hopes that it may help someone else.

Dear TexasMiom,

The best to you in your surgery. It is great comfort knowing the doctors and staff are very familiar with the surgery. Place your trust in the Doctors and more especially in your God.

Blessings to you,

Good Morning TexasMiom,

Well, I can't add much more than what the find people said already.  eaglessoar, Bayla, Flower1...spoke from the heart.

The only thing I can say is ditto...

We're wishing you all the best and we will be speaking with you again in a few weeks.

I am just reading your message on the 21st. so I am thinking that you are in surgery as I write this.  God bless.  May everything go beautifully.  It sounds like you have a great atttitude and so much to look forward to. I will look for your message in a few weeks when you are feeling better.  In the meantime, I hope someone is getting your home ready for your recovery.  That is a critical time and you should have a nice place to land after your recovery in the hospital.  I recommend a nice electric lounge chair for reclining during the day.  Some warm blankets and lots of vitamin water and other hydrating drinks.

 XXOO
