Would You Get Headachs From Cemo?

I just started on my cemo. Yesterday I had my second one. I ask the Dr. if the cemo would give me a headache. He said no,but I've been getting them not real bad ever since I started cemo. I don't take anything for it I just let it go away on its own. I don't like taking pain med. unless I really have to. If anyone out their would know the answer  I would appreciate it.

I think the vague headache you describe after chemo treatments may be from the steroids they usually administer with the chemo drugs.  Did you ask the nurses about the headache?  I would get a vague headache and feel jumpy from the steroids for the rest of the day,

               Thank you for answering my question so quick. I did ask the doc. and he said no, but when I go back I will ask the nurse. Sometimes I think the Doc. is in a hurry and he doesn't pay much attention to us.

I got the same thing as Linda lou: jumpiness and vague headaches and as ;long as I had the corticos ( They gave me tables too for tow days after the chemo ) problems sleeping.  I was told that that was quite normal, so do not worry. All the best,

Hi Rose,

I hope you got better information from the chemo nurses than your doctor - the steroids they give us prior to chemo are considered very large doses of steroids and a known side affect of them is a headache - as well as the nervous and jittery or hyper feeling you may get from the steroids - I also had to take 3 days of steroids after each chemo cycle - so my headache tended to last several days - some worse than others - Hope you got some help -
