Hi, my name is Bonnie my husband was diagnosed with small cell cancer lited stage has anyone out there have this and what treatment did you follow and did it help? He is only 44 and never smaoked in his life. We have two children 5 and 7. Very scared and confused - need some insight on where to go. Did start chemo. Did anyone do any research into Cancer Treatment Centers of America or go there for treatment?

Thank-you

Bonnie:
My husband also has small cell lung cancer..we have been thru chemo and radiation..This is now our third time with chemo treatments.
I will be happy to tell you what chemo treatments he has had if you are interested. He has small cell lung cancer. It will be two years this August since diagnosis. He is doing good. NO side effects and has kept up the pace.
We have found to take each day at a time. AND..you need to be STRONG for him and yours.
Make sure he drinks LOTS of water. Cancer cells hate water. He is never without his bottle of water. This came from our oncologist.
WATER..WATER..WATER..
If you would like to communicate further let me know

Bonnie: Forgot to add...if by any chance could your husband go to a VA hospital? We do all treatments and care at a VA facility. It has been very comforting and rewarding for us!

Hi annmarie,
Was very happy to see that someone answered my message. also is encouraging to know that I am not alone since small cell is only 20 percent of lung cancer. Very thankful to find someone like you. I live in NJ. I hope to hear from you soon and god bless your family.
