Nexavar Vs.High Blood Pressure, Brain Blocks & High Price

My father-in-law is sufferring kidney cancer and is going to have an operation to cut off his right kidney. My husband is considering to buy Nexavar to prevent cancer transferring after the operation. My enquiries are:

1. My father-in-law has a high blood pressure and brain blocks. I was informed that Nexavar will generate all-grade hypertension. Can he take Nexavar?

2. Nexavar is very expensive in my country (CHINA). We are considering to purchase it from USA directly. Is there a possible way for us to get the medicine for a cheaper price?

I have been on nexavar for 7 months now.I was diagnosed with kidney cancer 5 years ago.For the first two years I was taking interferon-alpha to prevent its return to another area.This worked very well for me.After about 3 years or so it returned to my lung.I was given 30 radiation treatments and shortly therafter put on nexavar.The cost for the nexavar is over 6,000.00 per month,thank God I have insurance the co-pay is only 25.00.Ask your doctor about interferon-alpha made by Schering corp.,it kept me well for over 2 years and did not cost that much.I wish you well,God bless .
