My 76 year old husband has stage 4 metastatic colon cancer. He has refused treatment and opted for quality of life. Surgery 6 weeks ago rerouted colon and has a colostomy. He was given 3 to 6 months. My question, what can we expect in the time left and any thing I can do to make things easier for him.
Thanks

There's a lot to be said for quality of life. Keep positive, eat nutritiously and you may be surprised. Those darn odds they give you with the time spans - PURE GUESSES - don't let them dictate the life in your days.

Remember Life isn't measured in the the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away!

Best of luck.

Hi there
Just read your note. I was diagnosed with stage 3-4 metastatic colon cancer 7 yrs ago. At that time, they gave me months to live. I took chemo for 6 months and some radiation. I am now on some alternative treatments that I figured out myself by reading books etc. Good luck to your husband. It is his decision and I can totally understand where he is coming from. Treatment is not pleasant. You are both in my prayers.
