Hi to anyone and everyone out there. My sister inlaw has survived small cell cancer and her treatment thus far and is doing very well. we would love for her to meet and talk with others that have shared this experience. although i am the one doing this for her.  i hope that there are those of you out there that would like to share with her. i am testing the waters to see how it goes and then let her know.  i am hoping that she will want to get on line and have people and experiences she can relate to. i feel this would be very important and helpfull to her.                                                                          nightsky

I know it has been a long time since I've logged on, for that I apologize.  My mom will take her 4th round of chemo April 14, 15 and 16th, she goes to chemo every 21 days.  To date the cancer has shrunk considerably.  The only supplements that she is taking is a multivitamin.  The chemo wipes her and also makes her hallucinate.  We manage to get through this, she will be 60 May 5th.

What my mom is currently doing is drinking loads of water and fruit juices, such as cranberry, apple and pomagranite juice.  She tries to get out as much as possible for exercise.  Other than that I leave her alone when she wants to be left alone.

It has been so hard for me to watch my my mom become sick.  She is such a strong woman, but she is getting better.

Hello, My name is Julie I also have small cell lung cancer. ive had one of my lungs removed and now it has spread to other places in my body, I use a machine called a Rife machine it is radio waves that go into your body and kill the cancer. Not many people know about this machine. They had a special on 60 minutes a couple weeks ago about a simular machine. I believe that is what has helped me this far.

Really happy for your sister in law.

My dad was diagonised with small cell lung cancer which has already spread to his lymph, liver and skin in end of Jan 2008.  He is on his 3rd dose of chemo so far and it seams to be going really well, not been poorly at all (fingers crossed) so far which was not expected.  The doctors say that they will give him 4 doeses of chemo and maybe radio to his brain following chemo.  We have ordered him lots of complementary medicines to try after his chemo and we are hoping these will work as we know that the survival rate for this type of cancer is not very good.  I would love to hear your sisterinlaw's full story as this really gives me confidence.  I lost mum 7 years ago at only 58 to breast cancer and dad is so very young still it just doesn;t bare thinking about.

Great news regarding your sister-in-law.  I was dx in February with SCLC that has mets to bones and liver.  I have had six chemos of carboplatin and etoposide that has reduced cancer 50% as of last week.  I would love to be in touch with others.

God Bless.  Lois

Where did you go to find a place using the machine that you uses? I have small cell carcinoma starting in my lund and going to my liver. They tell me chemo is my only option,  I have been checkin every place I can to find trials in the third or fourth stage or any kind of treatment that might work with chemo or that would be better.  Now I am on the second phase of chemo.  My first round of chemo shrunk my cancer approx. 60% but the last half of treatment allowed it to grow.  They say this is normal. That when the cancer realizes it is being attacked it puts up a defense and starts to grow.  They say this will happen each time.  Not very good news for me.  I ask them to use one type of chemo for the first half and switch to another type of chemo the last half so it would continur to work but the doctor said this had not been tried and was not an option.  Radiation is not an option or surgury they say.  I can understand radiation kills the liver but iI am not sure why they want use on lung.   Has anyone out there that knows of experienmental treatment or othe things tried that might be helpful.                 Thanks, Linda

I have been using a machine that put out radio waves and has proven to kill the cancer. Ive had my right lung removed and then they found more cancer 8 monthe lateron it. Its the best investment ive ever made.  Julie
