Subject: Alternative Treatment?
Date: 05/30/2005
I've just been diagnosed w/bladder cancer & have had the tumor removed. Don't know if it had matastasized as tests are not yet in. Has anyone on this forum used any alternative non-toxic treatment such as IP6, Graviola, flax oil & cottage cheese, cesium high pH therapy, Protocel? I've been reading an interesting book: Outsmart Your Cancer, by Tanya Harter Pierce. Thank you
Subject: Alternative Therapies- Immunopower vs ??
Date: 05/30/2005
I too am newly diagnosed with stage III colon cancer. I have a few people trying to talk me out of chemo and using just a nutrition solution.
I have already purchased Immunopower and now I see Immunomax or something. Another has recommmended benonite clay and fulvic minerals which he used and said worked on his tumor. There are many, many books out there. I saw that Kim Dalzell (?) mentioned her book but I cannot locate in the stores. I will check with her on when the latest printing was.
Has anyone used the Immunopower designed by a previous person at CCA or the supplements they are selling now? Anything?? thanks

Logical -- I've heard of Immunepower, but don't use it. I DO believe it's very important to try to boost your immune system as the NK (Natural Killer) cells as well as T-cells and B-cells help your body to fight any invader, cancer included.
In Feb (before all this started) I began taking Transfer Factor which is supposed to boost NK cells by some HUGE amount. I've not been able to get a copy of the blood test which would tell me whether NK cells have increased, but surely they have.If you would obtain a copy of a CBC, look at "lymphocytes", which is a way of checking if your immune system is doing well or not. My number is around 7, where 20 to 50 is normal (different labs have different "normal" numbers). This tells me that my immune system is in very poor condition. There are just soooo many things one can do to help our bodies fight the cancer. I have decided on the Cesium high pH protocol. Adria

I am not aware of either the TF of the cesium therapy - guess I have more studying to do. Thanks for the info on the CBC. I actually have a dr appt tomorrow and they should have blood work on me.

Logikal -- I ALWAYS ask for a copy of my blood draw report - that way you can compare & ask questions, rather than just listen to what Dr. has to say. In fact you can ask for copies of
ALL of the stuff in your file, including Dr.'s comments. You may learn more that way - things you may not have thought to inquire about.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with CEA....do you know what it stands for?
Subject: Cea - Tumor Marker
Date: 05/31/2005
I don't have anything in front of me to tell you the full, long name but CEA is a number that they use as a tumor marker. I am trying to get more info on it myself. I think it is a blood count. If the number goes up it is bad and may, but not always, represent cancer growth or spreading of cancer. I think the low number is good. You need to check on this in case I have my facts backwards.

I'll look into it also. I've not heard of it. Did read the other day, though, of a urine test called CGH (chorionic gonadotrophic hormone)...With a higher than normal number, you are either pregnant (yes, that's right), or about 95%, cancer somewhere in your body. It has to do with a hormone that happens in the very early stages of pregnancy, or when cells are growing rapidly (as they are in early pregnancy)...Interesting, huh? Learned this from the book "Outsmart Your Cancer".

What I just learned is that the CEA is one of many tumor marker blood tests available. It is specific for colorectal cancer so you're right on. There isn't one listed for bladder cancer, so will speak to Dr. about which one. Thanks for tuning me into this sort of thing. As you can see, I'm new at it, also.
